Historic Loughborough

A walk around town reveals building styles spanning the centuries, from medieval, through the Georgian and Victorian period, to the 21st Century, each era being represented by key buildings, such as the parish church, the Art Deco buildings in Market Street, the Victorian Town Hall and theatre, and the modern Canal Wharf development.

Arts and Entertainment

Loughborough’s Town Hall Theatre is the town’s premier venue for live entertainment and is home to regular Comedy Club events, ballet, drama, rock shows and musicals, culminating each with a traditional pantomime. In addition the town boasts two multiplex cinemas, a host of nightclubs and a lively pub music scene.

Shops and Business

Like many large towns, Loughborough has a range of chain stores, banks, and estate agents, but it is also blessed with a wide range of independent retailers offering everything from tattooing to teddy bears, connoisseur wines to select cheeses and designer jewellery to handmade pottery... and all within easy walking distance.
